Events this summer have been tremendously discouraging for many of the human race. There is uglyness, hatred, and violence revealing itself in ways we as a society are appalled by. Times feel dark.

In this episode, Lucca and Rebecca discuss how to apply the principle of Love in this war against the darkness. How can we escape despair? How do we find the kernal of good in something that appears evil? How do we expand upon what we want, and not give oxygen to what we do not want within our society? We wrestle with the tough stuff.

This summer, Lucca broke her ankle while stepping off the sidewalk. One small move for Lucca; one painful result with an impact that lasts months. As Lucca adjusted her life around this new disability, she encountered things she hadn’t expected.

In this episode, Lucca and Rebecca use the broken ankle as a launching pad (ouch!) for a discussion about what it means to be broken. What is the experience like? What does it reveal about u s? What does it reveal about others? What opportunities show up when we experience brokenness? What do we grieve? What do we discover? Join us as we feel our way through the pain and into possibility.

What is it that drives us to punish others? When is punishment appropriate? How does punishment differ from consequences? What happens with consequences to our actions seem to be larger than we intended? Lucca and Rebecca explore this gnarly topic, sharing past and personal experiences as they feel their way through a controversial topic.

What is empathy? What is empathy NOT? What does it mean to be an empath? How can empaths manage their gift (and curse) so that it serves them and those around them positively? Lucca and Rebecca take time to explore the meaning and application and exercise of this word that is used more frequently today than it has been at any time in human history.

Ours or Not Ours ?
Part of the human condition, and certainly that of interacting with one another, is the housekeeping of continually sorting for what is ‘ours’ and what is ‘not ours’ – ours to feel, cope with, carry, fight, keep or relinquish. This week Lucca and Rebecca discuss how this affects them as both practitioners and individuals and propose some perspectives that they find useful and you might too.
